Kim Cattrall

 

Kim Victoria Cattrall (born 21 August 1956) is an British and Canadian actor from Canada and the UK. Her role in the role of Samantha Jones in HBO's Sex and the City (1998-04) is her most well-known role. She was awarded five Emmy Award nominations and four Golden Globe Award nominees. In 2002, she received the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress. The role was reprised in the films Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2011). Cattrall made her debut in film in Rosebud (1975) and was later seen in several TV roles. In the 1980s, she rose to prominence with films such as Ticket to Heaven (1981), Police Academy (1984) and Hold-Up (1985). She also appeared in City Limits (1985), Big Trouble in Little China(86), Mannequin (1987), Masquerade (1888), Midnight Crossing (1988) and The Return of the Musketeers (1989). There were several times she worked with director Bob Clark, appearing in four of his films: Tribute (1980), Porky's (1981), Turk 182 (1985), and Baby Geniuses (1999). Additional credits include The Bonfire of the Vanities (1990), Star Trek VI The Undiscovered Country (91), Split Second (1992), Above Suspicion (95) and 15 Minutes (192001).
