Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (19 November 1975) is a Canadian singer and actor. Her roles on American television shows Law & Order were three-seasons long. Crossing Jordan lasted six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh was her main character. She has also acted as an actress in films like RoboCop 3: Most Wanted, as well the independent film Chutney Popcorn (which she also co-directed) and The Acting Class (which was written by her). Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy was her father. He was a meat marketer and an executive in sales and marketing. This position required many trips and led to frequent family moves. Her mother, Maxine, a secretary who left the family in 1982 and left her daughter partially taken care of by her paternal grandmother Eleanor, located in Kitchener, Ontario. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline is her identical twin sister. She is a writer for a Canadian magazine and host. Hennessy is a mix of Irish, French French, Swedish and Italian origins on her father's side, and most Ukrainian Roma on the mother's. She attended Stanley Park Senior Public School and then was a graduate of Grand River Collegiate Institute in Kitchener, Ontario and busked in the Toronto subway. Hennessy, her sister and her first performance was as twin call-girls in 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's actress, claims she was shortlisted for Dana Scully, The X-Files role. She also appeared on the Dead Ringers series in 1988 as twin call girls. Dick Wolf signed Hennessy in 1993 to play Claire Kincaid, an assistant district attorney, on the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The show ran for three seasons. The show ended after 1996.
