Halston Jean Schrage (born May 10, 1993) more popularly known as her stage name Halston Sage, is an American actress. She is known for her roles in the roles of Grace on the Nickelodeon television show How to Rock, Amber on the NBC TV series Crisis, and Lacey in the movie Paper Towns. Sage was born in Los Angeles, California. Her parents are Lenny and Tema Schrage. She is the younger sister of a brother and an older sister. She is Jewish. Sage rode horses competitively and was also the editor of her high-school's newspaper. Sage's career began in 2011, when she was cast as Grace on Nickelodeon's How to Rock. The show aired for a single 25-episode season. She was also a part of Nickelodeon's Victorious as well as Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures. In February 2013, Sage was cast in the short-lived NBC television thriller series Crisis, playing Amber her daughter Gillian Anderson's character. Sage was cast as Alara Kitan, the main role in the science-fiction drama series in 2016. The series premiered on Fox on September 10, 2017. In January 2019, it was reported that Sage had left The Orville's cast following "Home" however, she was not a guarantee of a return at some point in the future.
