Lori Loughlin Bio

Lori Loughlin is an American actress who was born on July 28, 1964, in New York City. She worked as a junior lifeguard before becoming an actress. At the age of 12 she began her professional career as a model for print. In her teens she was a part of TV commercials, and was frequently featured in print ads across the country. When she was 15, she was chosen to play Jody Travis, an aspiring dancer. Between 1980 and 1983, she would appear in various other roles. Her most well-known role is Rebecca Donalson-Katsopolis on Full House (1987), appearing from 1988 until 1995. Summerland (2004) was her co-creation and production. She also played Ava Gregory. She also appeared alongside Don Johnson and Kay Panabaker as Gelsey Alexander moondance Alexander (2007). Loughlin, along with her husband Mossimo Giannulli, were among many people who were charged by the FBI and the U.S. Attorney's office on March 12 2019 in a massive nationwide cheating on the college entrance exam scandal. Indictment alleged that the couple paid $500,000 disguised as a donation for the Key Worldwide Foundation so that the University of Southern California admissions committee believed that their daughters would join the women's rowing squad if they were accepted. However, none of the girls had ever been trained in the sport nor had any intention of doing so. On March 13th the 13th of March, 2019, Loughlin surrendered before federal authorities in Los Angeles for her alleged involvement in the multimillion-dollar elite college bribery scheme. In her appearance in Los Angeles Federal Court, Loughlin swore a bail bond of $1 million. Loughlin along with her husband also gave up their passports at their April 3, 2019 appearance at Boston Federal Court. They also waived their rights to a preliminary hearing. In May of 2020, Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded guilty. They are scheduled to be sentenced in August 2020. At that the judge can decide on an order of imprisonment time, fines, or community service. Loughlin was not allowed to appear on Fuller House again after her arrest.
