Milena Govich

Milena Govich is an actress, director, and musician. She has directed many episodes of TV such as Chicago Med (2015) (211) and The Equalizer (221). Milena was the Co-EP/Producing Director of Dick Wolf's CBS show FBI (2018) and is currently working on two pilots. Milena was one of the eight women selected for AFI’s highly regarded Directing Workshop for Women. She was also a participant in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable the short film she created, as well as a TV series proof of concept was premiered at SXSW. It also took home Best Episodic at the Seattle International Film Festival, and Best Pilot at SoHo International Film Festival. Her short film Temporary (2017) has been shown all over the country and has won the Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest and the Director's Choice Award at Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has appeared in more than 100 television series. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). She also appeared on the Dick Wolf series Conviction (2006) and was the catalyst for her role as the first and the only female detective on the Emmy-winning television series Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010)(CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) as well as Lori Stevens (MTV Drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has appeared in numerous films, including Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) as a co-star with Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) which starred opposite Method Man; as well as the role of #Lucky Number (2015). Milena was born in Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian of her high school, before she graduated with two majors in vocal performance and premed at the University of Central Oklahoma. She also graduated as valedictorian. She used her classical ballet training to stage her Broadway debut in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production "Cabaret" at Studio 54.
