Amanda Tapping Bio

Amanda Tapping, a British-Canadian actress and director was born on 28 August 1965. Her most well-known part is as Samantha Carter on the Canadian-American military sci-fi TV show Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. She also was the main character of Sanctuary which is a science-fiction, television show about fantasy. When she was just three years old, Tapping, who was born in Rochford (Essex), England relocated to Canada with her family. She went to North Toronto Collegiate Institute where she was a star in Drama as well as Environmental Science. After graduation in 1984, Tapping decided to concentrate her efforts on drama. She went to the University of Windsor School of Dramatic Arts, Windsor, Ontario. Tapping and Alan Kovacs reside together in Vancouver, British Columbia. [13] 14Tapping is married to Alan Kovacs. Tapping is mother to a child who is with Kovacs. Tapping revealed her miscarriages, eight of them, and the difficulties she faced throughout her marriage in hopes that other mothers who have miscarried will feel less lonely. Richard and Christopher are her brothers. Steven the third brother of Tapping was also alive, but passed away in December 2006 due to complications that were not disclosed to the Tapping family.
